Biography

Anne Wilson was born on February 21, 2002 (age: 21 years, as of 2023), in Lexington, Kentucky, to parents Kent and Lynn Wilson. She has two older siblings, Jacob and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a fashion designer who runs her own clothing line, Lizzie Wilson. She grew up in a Christian home and attended Tates Creek Presbyterian Church throughout most of her childhood. She also went to Veritas Christian Academy, a school that her mother helped found.
She learned to play the piano when she was six years old, and later picked up the guitar and the ukulele. She loved music, but she was too afraid to sing in front of anyone. She said, “I was always the girl who would hide behind the piano and never sing. I was so insecure about my voice and I never thought I was good enough.”
Anne’s life changed dramatically on June 7, 2017, when her older brother, Jacob, was killed in a car accident at the age of 23. Music Career and Success
After Jacob’s funeral, Anne Wilson started to write songs as a way of coping with her grief and expressing her faith. She said, “I realized that music was the only thing that could heal my broken heart. I started writing songs about Jesus and how He was the only one who could fill the void in my life.”
